We Grade Records Using the Goldmine System (But Slightly Simplified)

When We Grade Records Most Grading is Done Visually, If the Record is Worth Over £10.00 it will be Test Played, Due to the Sheer Amount of Products we List A Day it would be humanly Impossible to Test Play everything.

We Grade items Using the Below Guide:-

Mint

Item Is New, Vinyl Brand New, Never Played, Sleeve Usually Stil in Seal Wrap

Near Mint

The record Will be Like New, Possibly Unplayed, As will be used it will have been handled by a previous owner, The Sleeve will be in Almost Perfect Condition, there may be some indication that the sleeve was Handled such as a slight mark on sleeve corners

Very Good Plus (VG+)

The Record Will Be In Excellent Condition, There Will be a Few Very Fine Marks on the Vinyl, Around 2 - 5 Would be Acceptable, and The Sleeve Will Show Light Wear to Corners Only

Very Good (VG)

The Record Will Show Signs That it has been used, Quite a few Fine Marks on Media, Around 5 - 10 Would Be Acceptable, Surface noise is common at the Very Beginning of Playback, and Surface Noise Will Possibly be present only at the Quietest parts of Playback, Sleeve Will Have Either Have Heavy Wear to Corners or Wear to edges.

Good Plus (G+)

The Record Will Have Noticeable Scratches, Possible Deep scratches, on playback, all or Part of the Media Playback will have Surface Noise Present (for Example One Scratch Can Cause load noise but the rest of the record plays fine) Record won't Skip, and Sleeve Will Have Heavy Wear Overall Record Where Split is Going to Happen, Or Sleeve Has Rip in Sleeve But not all the way Across

Good (G)

Vinyl Will Play But will Have Skipping in parts, Sleeve Will Have a Large Rip(S) Resulting in Sleeve being Unable to Contain the Record Unsupported

Fair (F)

A Very Rare Occasion We Would Sell A Fair Record, Record Will Be Split or not fully intact, Sleeve Will be Partially Missing or Torn in more than one place
